Inspired by the beauty of nature and the wisdom of past times, a unique holiday resort was created that defines luxury and the concept of the good life. In fact, it is the true story of the place that inspired and shaped its current form. Once a thriving community of 50 residents centered around a thriving olive mill, the village was eventually abandoned. Until architect Myron Toupoyannis discovered it, fell in love with it and decided to revive it.
Hotel Kapsaliana is built at an altitude of 260 meters and lies in the heart of one of the largest olive groves on the island. Time has stopped here and combines the beauty of Cretan nature with the authentic experience of living in a quaint, carefully restored traditional village.
There are sunbeds and umbrellas on the sandy beach and a gradual entry into the sea, which is especially appreciated by families with children and older travelers.
There is also a long promenade around the hotel with taverns and cafes and a small shop about 50m from the accommodation. Other shopping options 15 minutes' walk away, as well as a famous pastry shop with excellent ice cream.
